There comes a time in your life when you have to step away from something you love to fix a part of your life that no longer serves you. You make a conscious decision, after months of deliberations, and then you make the finally move.
I'm sure it is no news to you that I was no longer willing to sacrifice my happiness for what society portrays a family. I was unhappy in my relationship and really needed the time to self reflect on what it is that would make me happy. The goal of my life. What I would be willing to sacrifice for the sake of inner peace.
In early summer, I told my now ex-husband I was leaving him. We discussed everything from what, when, where and how. The split was amicable. In August we told the kids, put the house on the market and started the procedure of divorce. We were granted a divorce on September 18th and sold our house on October 14th. Things have progressed quickly.
I purchased a house on Franklin Street in Reading to stay in the town I love, and be in the neighborhood my children are accustomed to. Matt purchased a home in North Reading.  For now the girls and I will be renting a house in Stoneham until construction is complete.  

The children are heart broken of course. The oldest two are taking it the hardest. My children come first in my life so I am doing the best I can to help them adapt to their new life situation.
As for me and how I am feeling, this is one of the best things I have ever done. The feeling of a heavy blanket lifted from my chest. The ability to really really laugh and smile and be honest with it.
Life has changed for me! I have to say that my mom taught me to be a strong person and to tell it like it is. Those mini-lessons through my life enabled me to be strong enough to say this no longer works for me. To say I am blessed for my strength would be an understatement.
I love you all and I'm so very thankful each of you are in my life!!!!

New Fall Class!


I can't believe it!!!
Super stoked!  It's VERY NEW and all the details have yet to be worked out; however....
My FAVORITE muscle/dancing class is back 
FOR THE FALL!!!  
We had so much fun in this class!!!  The one class a week we LAUGHED and SMILED the entire time!  Soaked with sweat ~ 
peeing a little (hey we all have kids). 
More details to follow about this and some other muscle conditioning classes!!

My NEW bio!! Tell me what you think!!!

Life has certainly been busy with a to-do list a mile long and trying to fulfill the needs of my family has been rough!  I'm starting a new awesome spin studio this week and had to write a bio.  Tell me what you think!!!

Jodi’s Bio

Jodi’s spirited spin class is both energizing and inspiring!  Her confidence shines on that stage where her bold and fiesty personality motivates you to be brave and try new moves!  Supportive and determined, the ride allows you to not think of the outside world for the 45 minutes!  Thoughtful in her approach to motivate each member to their next level, the ride is intended to vary your heart rate (strong hearts and strong minds)!  Previously a bartender in the Boston night club scene, she knows the music that motivates and the music that clears a dance floor!
Out of the saddle, this powerhouse is raising 4 sassy girls, loves her husband, adores her 3 dogs and 2 cats, who all provide her with the material she uses to be hilarious.  In the fitness industry for over 20 years, she holds certifications in AFAA, Maddogg spin, Personal Training, Pilates, Drums Alive, CPR/AED ~ she is also a licensed Realtor since 1990 holding the professional designations as a Certified Buyer Representative (CBR) and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI).  Jodi holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Northeastern University as well. 
Jodi just began another new adventure as a Certified Health Coach from Villanova University that helps others utilize a program to obtain their optimal health.  
Whew, now that’s a lot!  It’s definitely not a class you will be bored in!

JUST BREATHE!



The stress of the holidays takes a toll on your body.  Everyone experiences it.  The emotional aspect of living up to the  unrealistic expectation of creating the Pottery Barn image (I would have written Norman Rockwell, but times have changed).  Did you know it's ok to say "no"?  It's ok if you don't have your house perfect or the gifts wrapped just right ~ that's the image you created.  It's ok to NOT be perfect.  
Christmas - Hannukah and everything in-between are meant to be holidays spent with our families.  Not rushing around to please everyone with extravagant gifts!  When you arrive at your destination, or people show up at your house, do you discuss how it's "too busy to get everything done"?  Did you ever sit back and thought if you didn't do everything, what would happen? 
Well, I can tell you what would happen.  The sun would still rise and set.  Babies would still be born and people would still die.  
THE WORLD WOULD STILL GO ON!  
Imagine?
So stop with the ridiculous driving ~ the hurriedness of HAVING to do anything.  Stop, use other senses to remember the season.  Embrace the chaos, watch children reactions to lights, the music and seeing Santa.   Stop and "smell the roses".  
Some day this will be someone else's memory.  Do you want to be the one remembered as enjoying the moment or the one that was too busy to see anything but their list?  The choice is yours.  
And you know what else, your body reflects it.  Stop the stress, eat healthy and get some exercise.  Find a balance that works for you.  Remember we want wellness and not to fight illness.  Start now with de-stressing.  I know you can do it if you tried.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT WAS ME!

AMAZING isn't it????

September 6th I started my journey to optimal health.  I was appalled at what I looked AND felt like!  The weight came on slowly and it's a few pounds there and a few pounds there.  I KNEW I would lose the weight once I found the right program for me.  I KNOW A MILLION WAYS and have helped people for YEARS, it just didn't work for me anymore.  HOLY CRAP did I find my calling!  
Seriously just a couple of months later and my transformation makes me FEEL so good!  I am healthier - have more confidence!!  The best part???  I have the ability and experience to help YOU achieve YOUR optimal health!!  This program has helped so many people around us and NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!!!

When you said you would think about it...what was holding you back?  What about "starting after Thanksgiving"?

We all have to make the decision to TRY anything.  Making the decision is sometimes, half the battle.  Change is a lot for some people.  Some are able to dive right in regardless of the circumstances, others have to sit back and wait to see other peoples success.  
 The biggest excuse I'm receiving from people is their FEAR OF FAILURE.  No one wants to fail at anything.  I get it.  
What's the difference with me and the program?  
First and foremost, it's easy to follow.  It has instant gratification with weight loss (something that we all love to see).  I am your coach through the whole process.  We talk a minimum of once a week.  I offer support, advice and ideas on how to continue on your path to optimal health.  After you obtain your weight loss goal, we will transition you to maintenance where you will keep your weight off while adding back in everything we took out.  You'll learn to balance and keep the pounds off. 
Be ready for this life style change.  What you eat to maintain a larger figure is not what you will be able to eat to on a thinner you.  YOU CAN DO THIS.  I know you can.
